With two more jobs reports and three debates, polls can change quickly. However, at the moment most polls show the presidential election dead even.

If the debates and job reports don't move the numbers, then volunteers will need too. The time is now, if you were ever going to volunteer to help our candidates--from the White House to the court house--now is the time.

After its third "Super Saturday" grassroots volunteer day, the Republican National Committee says its volunteers have now knocked on 2.5 million doors and contacted voters more than 20 million times this cycle.

That's 16 times more doors and eight times more phone calls than at this point in 2008. This weekend they surpassed their entire volunteer voter contact totals from 2004.

The RNC has 282 “Victory Centers” and 620 staffers spread across the battleground states. While Oklahoma isn't a battleground state we opened our Tulsa Victory office this past Saturday. Paid for and staffed 100% by Oklahomans, by the way.

This early success is critical because we simply must win the mobilization war that we lost in 2008 to Obama. People tell me all the time, "I'm tired of all the lies and negative ads!" The best way to refute these lies and gutter Chicago-style politics that Obama will play is with live volunteers doing the hard work of face to face voter contact. Studies show door-knocking is more effective at increasing turnout and recruiting volunteers than phone calls or mailers.

Team Obama has failed to convince the American people that he deserves another term, but he will stop at nothing to convince swing voters otherwise.
