The Conservative Bedrock

Historically more delegates can be won on Super Tuesday than on any other single day of the primary calendar, and as such, a clear front runner can emerge. In 2008, 41% of the total of the Republican Party delegates were at stake.

In 2012, Super Tuesday will be March 6th with 10 states at stake: Alaska (27), Georgia (76), Idaho (32), Massachusetts (41), North Dakota (28), Ohio (66), Oklahoma (43), Tennessee (58), Vermont (17), and Virginia (49) – a total of 437 delegates, one-fifth of all delegates needed to secure our nomination.

"Oklahoma is the bedrock of the Republican party and conservative movement of this country"

Presidential candidates will be making stops in many of these ten states, but only one of them will provide the winner with what they truly need: proof they are the clear choice of the conservative base. The winner of Oklahoma's "Reddest State Primary" will be able to make that argument.

Rick Santorum, while stumping in Oklahoma just last week, put it this way: "Oklahoma is the bedrock of the Republican party and conservative movement of this country." Get used to hearing that line, we plan on using it...a lot.

Bedrock is defined as the solid rock that underlies loose material, such as soil, sand, clay, or gravel. It's the very basis; the foundation. Other states may waver in their conservative principles, but not Oklahoma. Even at the height of Obamamania, Oklahoman voters new better. Four years later it's critical that we lead the way again at the ballot box.

It takes 1144 delegates to secure the nomination, no one has 100 yet. On top of that, we seem to have a new frontrunner weekly. That's why Super Tuesday matters, why Oklahoma's reddest state primary really matters, and why Oklahoma has stuck its "flyover state" label on the Kansas state line.

The road to closing the deal with the conservative base runs through Oklahoma this year, the bedrock of the conservative movement in this country. So, see you real soon, Newt, Mitt, Ron, and Rick. It's your loss if you pass us by this year.
