Release: OKGOP Offers Free Rides to Wasserman Schultz Event
News, Press Release | 1 Jun 2012(Oklahoma City)- In an effort to ensure no Oklahoma Democrat candidate or elected official misses DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz's planned trip to Oklahoma, the OKGOP will be generously offering free transportation to the event. Wasserman Schultz will visit Tulsa on Saturday to raise money for Barack Obama's reelection.
"I noticed that after President Obama visited Oklahoma, finding a picture of the President with a local Democrat elected official was like trying to find evidence of Big Foot," said OKGOP Chairman Matt Pinnell. "We were concerned that maybe transportation was an issue, so we are pleased to announce that we will gladly offer free rides to Saturday's fundraiser to any Democrat elected official or candidate who will agree to use their photo with DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz on their next mail piece."
"When the Oklahoma Republican Party brings guests in, we're proud to publicly stand with them," continued Pinnell. "It seems anytime a national Democrat leader visits the state our local Democrats are nowhere to be found. They can run but they can't hide this November. It's time they proudly--and publicly--stand by their platform and with the leaders of their own party, Barack Obama and Debbie Wasserman Schultz," concluded Pinnell.
